KAREN KOPICKI, RID, NCIDQ principal

Award-winning International Registered Interior Designer, Karen Kopicki, is principal of Kopicki Design. With over two decades of interior design experience, Karen has established a career using a holistic approach to interior design. She considers the physical, emotional, social and spiritual well-being of her clients to create enduring interiors with a strength in simplicity.

Committed to designing with purpose and without ego, Karen created Kopicki Design in 2013 after 15 years as a lead interior designer with some of Austin’s premiere architecture firms.

Karen’s bright personality transcends to the whole team and creates a relaxed, engaging environment to explore design considerations and collaborations. The majority of her clients have been working with her for over a decade and through multiple homes, ranches and vacation homes.

Karen has been featured in AIA Homes Tour, Austin Design Week and Luxe Gold List, published in Luxe, Modern Interiors, Paper City, Tribeza, Austin Home, Houston Style, Fort Worth Magazine, Rare Magazine and on platforms such as Contemporist and Dwell.

fun facts:

Karen was also a professional flute player for almost 3 decades and traveled to solo with international and local symphonies across North America.

Karen is half French/ half Polish and moved all over North America before landing at The University of Texas at Austin with a full music performance scholarship and pursued that for a few years before switching majors to Interior Design.
